For many years, Yusuf has worked as an interpreter, assisting Turkish refugees in navigating complex legal and immigration processes. This experience has given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers and marginalized communities. Yusuf has witnessed the resilience and strength of individuals seeking safety and a better life and has dedicated himself to advocating for their rights and dignity. This work has fueled Yusuf's passion for social justice and has reinforced his belief in the importance of compassionate, inclusive policies. 

As a resident of York Region, Yusuf is deeply connected to the diverse and vibrant communities that make up York Centre. He understands the unique needs of our neighbourhoods, from affordable housing and accessible healthcare to better public transit and support for small businesses. Yusuf is motivated to serve as a strong voice for all residents, ensuring that no one is left behind. 

Yusuf believes in a fairer, more equitable Canada. He believes that together, we can fight for a living wage, stronger health care, and bold climate action.
